Hello everybody. Big things in my house. I have a German exchange student coming over today, from the town of Osnabruck. I have also been finishing off my Imperial guard army, with a command squad and 3 squads finished, well,the third is still in its box, but when everything is fully painted, I'll get them on the web.
Hands up who enjoyed the fiction that I wrote a while ago? Well I might try and write some ww2 fiction, as I have started my latest season of re-enactment with my soviet group. This year we'll be at the military odyssey, in kent. Shake-down
So,to clarify the monumental cock-up that the departmento munitorum has made up(sodding accountants!),I have 1 regiment in progress,the Tarrabat 412th Mechanized.I also aim to collect a tau force, preferably Sa'cea(the urban camo would be a nice contrast to the green/brown my guard have).I have made up 2 regiments,the 74th Kalashnikov airborne and the 1st Helghastian Armoured.

Part 2

"Night lord infantry sir,with supporting defilers.Raptors and Khorne bezerkers too,sir"

Sergeant Jovanovich knew that the night lords were one of the most famous of the traitor legions.They had assisted Huron Blackheart in destroying the marines errant chapter,which was a shadow of it's former self.What they would do to the guard,He didn't know.He returned to checking his las-carbine.The lasgun wasn't the most powerful weapon,It was a peashooter compared to the holy Bolter,But it was reliable,accurate,and impossible to not maintain properly.One of the lads in his squad came up,offering an Iho stick.Then,through the pouring rain,they saw the massed ranks of the night lords."OPEN FIIIRRREEEE!" bellowed the sergeant,and all hell broke loose.The front ranks of the lords went down under the stuttering volleys of fire from the bridge.The steady thud of autocannons,and the whistle of mortars made for a cacophonous din.Where are the 412th,he thought?!Partying!
"come on lads,the bridge is in sight,keep pushing!"Shouted Sergeant Nikolav,exhorting his troops in the run to the bridge.He heard the multilasers on the chimera's start up,pulsing into the enemy ranks.As they got to the bridge,Devildog fast tanks started plying their deadly trade,hitting the enemy defilers hard with meltafire.The steady volleys of las-fire were pushing the traitors back.Then,from the gun line,A guardsman rushed forward,with a bayonet,laspistol and several grenades.Impaling several marines and loosing off round after round,he met his end surrounded by heretics,Shouting and swearing in the emperors name.This single attack spurred the defenders into a charge,breaking the back of the traitors.
"Alright lads,mount up,we're moving out with the airborne.Secure the bridge,and lets go.Airborne,ride on the tanks."

The gates of hell
This is my first try at 40k fiction.Hope you like it...
"right lads,listen up.Our company is pushing through to take these 3 hills.Hill Alpha 7,Gamma 1-4 and Oscar 2-8.As soon as these hills have been secured,we can get basilisks from the 47th Kalashnikov to cover our advance.There is a town on each hill,so checks your clips,and stay sharp.And for those of you who weren't listening,Shoot anything that isn't us.Ready up."
As the company pushed into the first town,they saw why the pioneers that had been sent in hadn't come back.Bodies hung from trees.impaled with pitch forks.The mud and snow was mixed with the blood of guardsmen,and the smell of corpses was everywhere.As the troops dismounted,the new lads were sick to the stomach.One,who looked about 12,was executed by his sarge for retreating.Suddenly,a las shot rang out from a building,hitting the pintle gunner on the lead chimera."Open fire"was the order.The men obliged.One squad cleared the house,while the rest covered them.The figure they dragged out was a guardsmen.But not one they recognised.He was covered in blood,his right arm was dropping off,He was missing an eye,and he stank of corpses.He said he was one of the engineers that had been sent in,but had survived and hid."The heretics are that way.Kill 'em all!"
"URA!URA!URA!"was the cry from the guard as they stormed the village,loosing off precise las rounds in all directions.Heretics fell in all directions,while others suicided.Maintaining momentum,the next few hills were captured with ease.Several miles forward of the company,who was a part of 30th corps,The jump grenadiers of the 74th Kalashnikovan,seized 3 bridges,dug in,and were ordered to hold until relieved.Snipers were deployed on the bridge,as well as autocannons,and scout sentinels.The battle was imminent...

Regimental fluff
The 412Th Tarrabatian are my new regiment.The regiment has been called the 707th Mortant,The 7th Cadian,The 707th Zhivagan,and is now based on the planet of Tarrabatian.
The planet itself...
Tarrabatian is a medium sized planet,in Segmentum obscurus,and is the capital of the Tarrabatian system.A highly militarised world,The 10 guard academies produce some of the imperium's finest guardsmen.The planet has a few major hives,the most well known is hive Stanilgard,in the Syldavia province.Some of the lesser known hives include hive St.Peretsburg,Nelnigard and Volgagard.Each hive produces arms,equipment and munitions.
Unit personalities...
Major Zhivago-a grizzled old veteran,who has fought the Tyrannids,Chaos,the Necrons,and most notably the Orks.Now aged 70,he knows that the only way out is death or being wounded and sent home.
Captain Retpenko-a fairly new officer who has shown heroism at the siege of St.Peretsburg and Nelnigard by saving civilians from certain death a number of times,most notably taking a shotgun round to save a grandfather and his children.
Captain Romanov-He joined with patriotism in mind,but now sees the army as a cauldron of death,danger and bloodshed.

Merry xmas
